Have you seen those 'bug houses' that are basically a framed bundle of hollow bamboo rods? A lot of them say they're good for solitary bees to make homes in. Is this true?
We call them bee hotels or bee houses here, and they’re pretty commonly used to attract solitary bee species. There are also bee hotels that are made by just drilling holes into a large bit of wood.
